Especially if they don't fit neatly into the base story or fighting style balance. The louder people ask for a particular character, the better they're probably going to sell as DLC, so it's worth their while to add them in separately.

Which is understandable considering a) different subsets of fans are clamoring for different things, and b) some choices won't fit their vision for the game as well as others.

And they also said that they won't be giving fans everything they want for various reasons. They said they listen to the fans and take all the feedback they see into account. Otherwise it just sounds like an angry mob, and it's hard to respect a mob. If you think there's any chance that obnoxious people could be spoiling the odds of getting the good things you want, then more people should make it clear that those folks aren't speaking for them. I know I wouldn't prioritize making those kinds of people happy, anyway. If it were your game to make, would you feel good about catering to the "fans" who always sound irrationally angry, give you the most toxic nagging, call you the worst names, and often sound like they wouldn't have anything good to say about you or the game no matter what you do? Not all fans who want certain characters are like that, but the ones who are like that are surely not helping things for everyone else. The angrier people are about certain characters, the less they're going to want to put any love into them. Also worth considering: The louder people ask for a particular character, the better they're probably going to sell as DLC, so it's worth their while to add them in separately.

The only thing that would bring that down if it's full of schemes to get extra money out of it. I'm still very much happy with this game. I can still think the came is great even though it won't cater exactly what I want from it. Heck, I even want Mileena and Reptile in the game, but I'm not going to pretend the 3 I'm indifferent about took the spots of the ones I liked being in there. All the while, I'm indifferent of Jacqui, Cassie or Erron Black to be back. I for one am glad Kotal Kahn (and D'vorah) is back. With these kind of threads it always seem the same thing: "The game isn't exactly what I want it to be, NRS isn't listening, NRS is stupid.

We can just give our ideas and feedback and it's up to them if they want to do something with it. It isn't a "majority rules" thing over here, nor should it be. So yeah, I have the impression they are listening. And I'm happy to see those things got implemented. Well, with MK9 and MKX I was always talking about how it would be nice to approach certain things, visually wise.
